INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS
GOVERNMENT FUNDED TRAINING FOR JOB SEEKERS
The WA Jobs and Skills Participation – Work Readiness program aims to assist unemployed or underemployed people who are ready to work, but who are seeking relevant skills and experience to access meaningful work.
Perth College of Beauty Therapy offered the SHB30321 Certificate III in Nail Technology under the WA Jobs and Skills Participation – Work Readiness program from 1st May 2023 until 31st December 2023.
We do not currently offer this course under the WA Jobs and Skills Participation – Work Readiness program.
The WA Jobs and Skills Participation – Work Readiness program allowed eligible students to access the Government Funded training.
There were specific criteria students must have met to be eligible for the program. Students must have been assessed as academically suited to undertake the course and must:
- Reside in Western Australia
- Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Residents or hold an approved Visa subclass
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI)
- Commence Training within the Student Commencing Start and End dats as defined in the CPS
- Be unemployed or underemployed
- Have a current Centrelink Health Care Card
Concession requirements:
- Persons and dependants of persons holding:
· a Pensioner Concession Card;
· a Repatriation Health Benefits Card issued by the Department of Veterans’Affairs; or
· a Health Care Card. - Persons and dependants of persons in receipt of services from the following Commonwealth support or employment services programs:
· Workforce Australia; or
· ParentsNext. - Persons and dependants of persons in receipt of AUSTUDY or ABSTUDY.
- Persons and dependants of persons in receipt of the Youth Allowance.
- Persons and dependants of persons who are inmates of a custodial institution.
- Secondary school-aged persons, not enrolled at school.
Course fees for the SHB30321 Certificate III in Nail Technology pogram under the WA Jobs and Skills Participation were $764.40. We do not currently offer this course under the WA Jobs and Skills Participation – Work Readiness program.
Included in the course fee was the Nail kit and College uniform. Students must have provided their own black pants and black enclosed shoes and black towel. Students were required to supply a variety of models for all practical assessments. Models are required to pay the model assessment fee charge asassessments must be performed on paying clients.

1) The program is not available for persons who do not meet the eligibility requirements.
2) Course fees are indicative only and are subject to change given the individuals circumstances at enrolment. Additional fees may apply such as student services and resource fees.
